Any keen eyed Film, or Music video fan will have noticed Nokia’s handsets presence in Blockbuster, and Music Movies/Videos is on the increase, which has only started happening quite recently. The Dark Knight, Batman, and Britney Spears, Womanizer Music Video featuring the 5800 ExpressMusic Touch Screen Device, Knightrider The Movie featuring the N95, the E71 in Alicia Keys, Superwoman Music Video, the list goes on, and on. See my previous article about this, including an interview with Nokia’s Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, on what measures Nokia are taking to make its presence more known in the US, and the film industry.
More interestingly, the latest film to not only show a Nokia like handset, but to actually have the mobile device be the main part of the storyline, and being shown throughout the film in great detail, reflects, if this is indeed Nokia, they are pushing hard to showcase their upcoming handsets. The phone used in the film, Echelon Conspiracy, is the Nokia Aeon type looking handset, and known in the film as the GZT650.
Checkout the Nokia official photos of this prototype after the break, and then the screenshots I got lastnight whilst watching the film, and decide for yourself. Another twist in the film is how the phone arrived. The Aeon type handset featured in Echelon Conspiracy is delivered in a DHL package. Nokia insist on always using DHL with their handset shipments. Another pointer to the knowing, mobile enthusiasts I wonder.?
