A couple of weeks ago now, Nokia Conversations held a fun free game called Pass the Parcel, where they randomly selected twenty Nokia enthusiast sites, and blogs from around the www, and then over a period of fifteen days, each day, they posted up a short video of the parcel having one of its many wrappers removed.
Each day was randomly allocated to one of the twenty parcel passers, myself included (Micky’s Blog see below). This continued, with each wrapper being removed, a clue written on the next layer, giving readers a clue to what the prize could be, this continued until the final layer was removed from the parcel to reveal a nice surprise for one lucky person.
The clues were all pointing to an N97, and so many commentators also thought it had to be an N97 as the prize, after all, some of the clues stated, widgets, touchscreen, new homescreen. It wasn’t until the final layer was removed, when we all found out, it wasn’t an N97 at all, but a brand new Nokia Touch device, the 5530 XpressMusic.
Congratulations go out to Noah, of PhoneDog.com, who will be getting a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic before it ships, some small goodies, and also a “date” with the Product Manager to interview for their site PhoneDog.com.
Now even more good news. Everyone who took part in this Nokia Conversation Pass the Parcel game, also will receive a 5530 to trail for a period of time, so watch this space right here on Nokiausers, where I will be putting together a few articles relating to this new Touch device from Nokia. Checkout the video below for now though, when PhoneDog removed the final layer off the parcel to reveal his prize, the 5530XM.
Now, its not all happy news at Nokia Conversations. This is the very last week that Charlie Schick will be working with the Nokia Conversations team before he heads back to the US.
