If like myself, and you prefer to only to use OEM batteries for your Nokia devices, but really need a higher capacity mAh battery for your Nokia device, then you can’t go wrong with a Mugen Power replacement battery. They are the closest battery to your OEM product in the terms of quality, and safety.
Recently having received a Nokia N900 for testing purposes, it fast become clear that the supplied battery, the 1320mAh BL-5J (same found in the 5800), may not be up to the job. Although I’m averaging between 7 to 10 hours out of a single charge, this differs greatly depending on the usage of course, be it using a lot of wifi connectivity, or 3G.
This is where I started scouring the Internet, looking for higher capacity batteries for the 5800, in the hope that I could find one, and keep the same form-factor of the original BL-5J, thus not having to resort to fitting an alternative battery cover. Sadly, Nokia do not yet suppliy a higher capacity battery for the N900, but its just a matter of time until they are forced to do so. thats my personal opinion.
