Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition Firmware Updated to v40 – Feels Incomplete

The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition got a firmware update to software version 40.2.005, but it feels incomplete. Kinetic scrolling is not applied everywhere like in the Nokia N97 mini and the original N97.

Angry Birds Level Pack 1 Back in Ovi Store for Nokia N900

There’s paid software in the Ovi Store for the Nokia N900 again! Angry Birds Level Pack 1 was there initially, but was pulled immediately when some users found a way to bypass the payment gateway and downloaded it for free. Now that it’s back, I suggest buying it because it’s worth the $2.99 price tag. After the purchase, the store asks you to open the file in application manager to continue the installation

Nokia N97 Mini Gold Edition Expected in 2nd Quarter

The Nokia N97 mini covered with 18-carat gold casing is going to be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia around April this year. Inside is the same N97 Mini we’re already familiar with. It looks great, but the price according to the Nokia Poland press release is 2499 PLN which is equivalent to about 625 Euros.

Nokia X6 16GB Now Available at US Flagship Stores

We just got word that the Nokia X6 16GB is now available at Nokia’s US flagship stores in Chicago and New York for $455 USD plus tax. There are no signs of online retailers having them in stock yet, so these may be the only places to get them in the US right now. For example, Amazon still doesn’t have an estimated date

Morpho QuickPanorama showed up in the Ovi Store for the Nokia N900 this week. It lets you take panoramic photographs by only moving the camera to capture a wide landscape. Users don’t need to snap multiple pictures and join them later on.
