With news being a bit slow as we gear up for 2010 with CES, Mobile World Congress, and CTIA we see lots of 2009 wrap up stories and I personally really enjoy reading them. A couple related to Nokia were recently posted and I wanted to link to them and discuss them here with you. This is a reminder that it’s your last chance to get Nokia’s Holiday rebate offer of $50 when you purchase or plan to buy a Nokia N97, N900, 5800 Nav, or 5530. You have until the end of this year to get the device and January 8th to mail the form. The purchase must be made before December 31st to be eligible.

Opera Mobile 10 was updated to Beta 2 on Monday. Opera is aiming to improve the user experience as they get closer to the final version. The key update for the second beta is native keyboard integration

I took some photos of the evaluation Nokia N900 that I received for a 3-month period and it was a typical Nokia retail package. I saw the unboxing video below over on Tracy and Matt’s Blog and think every Nokia geek should check it out. I wish I would have gotten one of these packages to check out and wonder if this will be a package purchase option.

It lets me upload my photos, videos, and even files to existing multiple services like Flickr, Facebook, Twitpic, yFrog, etc. I just learned they’re releasing plugins for the Nokia N900 to make it easier for new users that just want to upload to a single service

All About Symbian Nokia E72 review helps me with purchase choice

As I continue to use the N97 mini and Nokia N900 I keep thinking about the Nokia E72 as I try to figure out which of these three devices I will purchase in early 2010. I was leaning towards the E72 because I really enjoyed using the E71, but the awesome construction, high resolution display, and excellent keyboard of the Nokia N97 mini has me leaning much more heavily that way.
